A student working on a psychology degree, Blair Williams enjoys mentoring our youth. He’s committed to helping them become strong, intelligent, and level-headed men.
1) Why did you want to get involved with Connect to Greatness?
I met Mr. Andre at one of the programs and he introduced me to Connect to Greatness.
I have been working with youth for most of my life and I enjoy making an impact on them.
I had a lot of joy in seeing the youth get excited to see me, and I could tell this was my passion. After being introduced to C2G, I wanted to get involved with program.
Seeing all these young Black men and black mentors having a strong bond and commitment to one another was exactly the type of impact I wanted to create, and in being a young black man myself, I wanted to be part of this organization right away.
2) What do you hope to gain from your involvement with Connect to Greatness?
I hope to gain new connections in the community and to be able to reach a group of young men and watch them grow and prosper into strong, intelligent, and level-headed men.
3) Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in Omaha, NE. I have been working with youth for the past 10 years. I moved to South Florida in 2021. I enjoy being outdoors, playing basketball, and I try to read a book once a month. I am currently finishing my psychology degree to begin counseling youth and families. My goal is to make family bonds stronger by giving them the tools to be able to have open honest discussions.
