Where Mothers and Caregivers Become Leaders for Change
The Women of Boys Empowerment Program equips mothers and caregivers of Black boys with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be strong advocates for their sons. Participants learn how to engage effectively with schools, influence local policy, and make their voices heard as informed voters.
This program also creates a powerful community of women who are united in proactively advocating for the success of Black boys, ensuring they have the support and opportunities needed to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
Program sessions run weekly for 90 minutes and are held concurrently with the Boys to Men Leadership Academy.
Note: This program is open only to caregivers of students currently enrolled in Connect to Greatness programs.

Ingrid Evans
Program Manager
Ingrid Evans is an accomplished professional passionate about working with children and families with an extensive childcare and youth development background. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Ingrid now resides in Florida. She serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Achievement Centers for Children and Families, where she plays an integral role in managing the organization’s daily operations.
In addition to her impressive professional background, Ingrid is a Gulf War veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Her experience as a Marine has instilled in her a sense of discipline and dedication that she applies to her work every day, giving her a unique perspective and skill set that has made her well-suited to work with Connect to Greatness.
Ingrid holds an Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Palm Beach State College and a Childcare Center Management certificate. Her passion for working with children has been evident throughout her career, spanning over 15 years of professional experience.
As Program Manager for Connect to Greatness, Ingrid oversees programming services and organizes and facilitates sessions for the Women of Boys Empowerment Program. As a mother of four sons, Ingrid understands the unique challenges of raising and mentoring young men. She is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience and expertise, and her commitment to empowering children and families is truly inspiring.
